The Temple and buildings around it As stated before the present temple was constructed in the year Sharvari of 1702 saka, in the month of Falgun. The Agrashalas in the front and behind the temple as well as of the right side were constructed by Sharvari Narba Kamat Panvelkar, of Panvel, Venkatesh Naik Odiye, of Kumbarjua and Smt. Savitribai Kamat, widow of Narayan Fonde Kamat, of Kumbarjua jointly, in the yearof 1703 saka, Plava sanvatsar. The Agrashalas on the left side were constructed by Sarvashri Ramachandra Tata Naik Gaunekar and Panduranga Naik Namashikar while of the back side left was constructed by Narayan Laxman Naik Bhatkar and Sadashiva Naik Gaunekar. Shri Krishnaji Seguna, of Bombay, a worshipper of the deity had introduced many improvements at his expenses during his stay here. The ground floor of the present backside (left) Agrashala was reconstructed in the year 1965 and the first floor was completed in 1970. It has 7 compe artments on each floor. The Agrashala in front of the temple (leftside) was constructed in the year 1937. In that place, there was formerly a pipal tree. The reconstruction of the rightside one took place in the year 1965. The reconstruction of the building behind the temple on the right side was started in the year 1973 and was completed in 1974. The inauguration of this new building took place on the 24th March 1974. The adjoining portion's reconstruction is under consideration.

Saunsthan's neighbour, the prince of Sunda. In the neighbourhood of the temple, lies the palace of the prince of Sunda. He was the ruler of Sunda princedom in Karnatak, Being attacked by Tipu Sultan, of Mysore, in 1763, he fled to Goa and sought protection from the Portuguese by handling over his territory in Goa to the Portuguese Govenment against a pension. He took the shelter first at moula and later on he came to Bandivadem, got a piece of land on lease from the Nagesh Saunsthan and constructed his palace. He is a worshipper of Shri Ganesh.
